Install Skype

Nah, sabtu kmaren g nyoba install skype, g donlot tuh ke skype.com, trus pake rpm -install -> muncul dependencies. Coba cari2 di google, ketemu tapi bingungin. Akhirnya pake GUI, dependenciesnya keinstall semua.

Tinggal install skypenya, tapi begitu install beres, dia minta public key! doengg...apaan lagi nih, perasaan di windows ga minta apa2. cari2 di google, muncul byk thread soal ini, ini recap-annya :

Doing the Work

All that needs to be done is setup the repo for skype. Skype has been nice enough to setup a yum repo so installing and staying updated is very easy.
1. Import or Download GPG Key
Download the GPG key and then export it to the expected place:

gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 0xD66B746E
gpg -a -o /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-skype --export 0xD66B746E

2. Setup Skype Repo

In this step, be sure to adjust for the version of Fedora you are using. In the example we list the most current repo which is for Fedora Core 5. This repo may also be used for Fedora Core 6 until skype releases a Fedora Core 6 rpm. Add the following to /etc/yum.repos.d/skype.repo:

3. Install Skype
Install skype with yum:

yum install skype

Itu tuh instruksinya, dah g coba tapi ga ada filenya.

Ini suruh install dari binary, lebih ngerti ini sih g. Tp abis diextract, command skype-nya ga mo jalan, katanya unknown, apa karena g pake GNOME ya, soalnya dr bbrp website, dibilang kalo command ini bisa di KDE. trus g cari compilernya, make, make-install ga ada juga. payah bener nih!

3. Ada jg yg nyaranin install dr repo aja.

Nah lho, bingung deh g, prinsipnya sih g ngerti, ini install dr sourcenya gitu, full otomatis. Tapi musti diarahin file reponya, ini yg bingungin. Coba sana sini.. salah satunya g tambahin line skype.repo ke yum.repo, ga bisa!
Ternyata caranya simpel bgt, kalo udah dapet file skype.repo, pindahin ke /etc/yum/yum.repos.d/
nah di folder itu ngumpul semua file2 repo.

Kalo udah dipindah, tinggal ketik : yum [file repo] , ex : yum repo. Itu otomatis semua!

Sampe langkah ini, berarti file installan dr skype.com, udah ga kepake. Tapi mentok lagi di public key, katanya udah diremoved! cari google lagi, ketemu solusinya gini :

eh, ternyata balik lagi ke langkah awal yg g ketemu, pake gpg! langsung bisa semuanya, lancaaar....

kenapa kmaren ga bisa ya?? g rasa ada ketuker huruf di link gpgservernya, yg penting udah terselesaikan masalah install skype!!
